There are 24 jumbo frets on a rosewood fretboard. A flatter neck is better for lead playing. These are flat neck as compared to the say the Fender Strats which on average have a 9.5 inch radius. The radius at the 1st fret is 14 inches and a 16 inch radius at the 24th fret. It also has a compound radius which has a more curved radius (fretboard) in the 1st fret position and then gradually gets flatter as it goes up the neck. The neck itself is bolted onto the body as it is on the DKMG version. This joint isn’t as visible as other types of wood joints so you will hardly notice it. The 25.5 inch scale length neck is made of Rock Maple and has a scarf joint at the head stock. With the strings being routed through the body has a more direct connection to the body which improves the tone and sustain over other types of bridges.
